Can, shared @ jbrus’s place. Pitchblack and opague. Aroma has dark chocolate and coffee. Loads of roasted malt and mocha in the flavor. Oily hopbitter aftertaste. Could use just a bit more body. Some aluminium in the aftertaste.

Happy birthday, me! Black with brown head. Aroma is licorice dark chocolate some coffee dark caramel hints of lacto(?). Taste is roasted malt not much sweet lacto and hints of apricot. Rather dry. Smooth but balanced chocolate and roast. Long finish of tasty dark chocolate and espresso. A bit short of my expectation (well maybe not) but still a pretty nice beer!

Can from Struise Shop, Bruges. Pours cloudy black with a big, slowly thinning, frothy, dark beige head; some lacing. Strong aroma of vanilla, prune, raisin, praliné, kahlua, brownie dough, almond, beef stock, nutmeg, some green apple (acetaldehyde). Taste is medium malty sweet, hints of chocolate, brownie & nuts topped with dark fruits, rendering it a bit sourish too; medium roasted bitterness ensues with black coffee & spicy touch of nutmeg, almost powdery in a way. Faintest umami touch before finishing dry, peppery hoppy, toasty & spicy, lingering roast, cigar ash, and a firm dash of warming alcohol (herbal liqueur, kahlua). Full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Not the smoothest RIS, rather hefty indeed, but still enjoyable, of course.
