Sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015. Opaque black liquid with medium tan head. Aroma of licorice, wood, booze, bourbon and coffee. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of coffee, chocolate and light licorice. Full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Nice.

Keg at the 4th Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Session I, 01/05/2015. Pitch black topped with a dirty tan swirl and edgeing. Nose is rich roast, malt, spice, black pepper, chocolate. Taste comprises roast malt, charr, dark fruit rinds, spcie, subtle bourbon. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent.

Draught@CBC2015. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is toasted malts, mild lactic notes as well as some liquorice, fruits and plum. Flavour is rather similar with a quite sweet alcoholic sting to it. Yet it’s rather mellowly balanced and very bodied.
