Bottle from brewery. Black pour, beige head. Great roasty smoky aroma with hints of coffee, soy and cocoa. The body is light, and refreshing. The finish is dry, lightly bitter, with a great solid roasty semi sweet finish. Incredible stout!

Black color with small beige head. Fire oven bread aroma, roasted malt. Rather dry mouthfeel, less weak then expected; good roasted malt flavor, with light presence of paper and ashes in the final, mild astringency. Nice.

Nitro, dark brown, aroma is cocoa, with light citrus. A tart, slightly cocoa-ish, but refreshing. Light Irishy stout.

Bottle: Poured a dark black color ale with a very generous brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry roasted malt with subtle coffee notes. Taste is also dominated by roasted notes with some light subtle dry coffee notes. Body is light with carbonation really too strong for the style. Enjoyable session-style stout but carbonation is almost like a Coke and doesn’t really fit the style.

Draft - Nitro - Roast malts and coffee. Jet black and that nitro cream head. Roast malts, little bit of dark fruit and coffee. Light and rich at the same time. On nitro this is great, likely thin otherwise.

(Draught at Barhop) Poured what appeared to be cloudy black with a decent-sized dense, creamy tan head (nitro?), left a carpet of lace. Aroma is roasted malt, light cocoa/coffee, slight nuttiness, just a bit of leafy hops. Flavour follows the nose, with added creamy flavour/texture, a hint of sweetness with the toasty malt up front but largely dry, slight sour hints (lactic?), finish is slightly chalky, a bit of leafy hop bitterness along with the roast. Light but creamy body with soft carb leads to a much fuller mouthfeel, but still fairly crisp and really easy to drink. Can’t believe the ABV given the flavour. This is a great dry stout with food, what Guinness should be.

Dark chocolate and roast malt dominate this beer. Pours black with good hedge and lace. Soft carbonation. Some nut and light musk in finish. Sour and a little bitter in equal parts. Well done. Tap at brewpub.
