Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a black color with a thin finger’s worth of off white to almost tan foamy head. Lacing is messy and somewhat sticky.
The aroma grips some black licorice and blends tightly with some smoke, coca cola, coffee bean, sly vanilla bean, subtle woody dryness.
The flavor leans sweet and grips some spice (probably from the black licorice). Mostly blends into the aftertaste and rides on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. ABV does seem fairly quaint. Mild carbonation. Semi-sticky on my tongue.
Overall, the in between of the porter to the imperial porter (not an accepted style, yet), it’s a nice beer to have just as it is as there’s a lot going on. I’d have again.

Bottle 330 ml. Black color, tan foam. Aroma: roasted, coffee, hops, a little wine, caramel, chocolate. Taste: coffee, caramel, dark chocolate, good hop bitterness, velvety, very pleasant.

Bottle shared at home. Pitch black pour with a thin dark tan head. Notes of roasted malts, dark chocolate, cocoa, sherry, dark cherries and a light warming alcohol in the back of the throat. Bottle, 330 ml from Svijet Piva. Pours black with light brownish head. Roasted malts, coffee, hops, fruit in aroma. Roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, some fruit in flavor. Medium to full bodied. Nice one.

330ml bottle from Legacy, tasted at Brian’s. Pours a very dark brown with a brown head. Aroma is slightly sweet, burnt malt. Same character taste with lots of hoppines and some black (not just dark) chocolate notes. Amazing!

Óriási csodaszép kávébarna, nagyon tartós tömör hab. Színe koromfekete. Illata határozott pörkölt jegyekkel rendelkezik, némi édeskés, karamellás beütéssel. Íze erősen pörkölt, már túl van a feketekávés jellegen is. Picit édeskés, kevés karamellel, és persze füstös. Testes sör.

Svart med høyt tykt lys brunt skum. Lukter kakaopulver, kaffe og mørk sjokolade. Middels fylde. I tillegg til de smakene som kom fram i lukten, er det en sel salt lakris der. Noe vanilje. Middels lang.

Tap at Klooster. Black with tan head. Dark roasted chocolate malts, very hoppy, fruity and marijuana-goodness. Nice coffee, espresso, vanilla, custard and some boozy notes, some smoke and ash. Low sweet medium bitter. Full body chocolate cake that fell in the ashtray. Low carbonation. Great full taste, long lasting coffee & cigarettes.
