Bottle. Pours opaque black with huge brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, rusty iron, gravy, beef stock and milk with faint hints of sweet citrus. Taste is intense bitter and medium sweet. Body is creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is very long and intense bitter and sweet with notes of gravy, malt, brown sugar, coffee, bitter grapefruit, soy sauce and Vegemite. Very intense and rich

Black colour, big and dense mocha head, good persistence and lacing. Aroma shows roasted malts, nicely balanced by soft nuttiness, plus dusty hints and slight fruitiness. Overall very clean and quite vivid. Taste has semi sweet (nutty) and semi roasted maltiness (hints of coffee), again a slight dusty feel and some red fruits in the background. Finishes quick with a good dose of clean-cut dry bitterness. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation, quite creamy but still easy to drink. Abv is wonderfully hidden. Overall a robust but still pretty easily drinkable porter. Well done

BOTTLE 33 CL. Pitch black, huge dark mocha head. Nice dark malts dashed with a good deal of hops - green grassy notes to flowery, rosebud aromas. Similar taste - malty/fruity, with flowers hops and a strong sharp bitter furnish. Very nice.

0.33 l bottle from ’Rudat’, best before November 2019 (cellared for 1,5 years). Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and a bit fruity-resiny aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, some vanilla and blackberry. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty and quite fruity-resiny taste of dark chocolate, praline, vanilla, hazelnut, licorice, blackberry and a touch of tropical fruits, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, slightly warming and a bit resiny finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very tasty! Still rather hoppy although not fresh at all, heavy malty backbone, quite moreish!
