His porter poured a deep black colour with a thick, creamy, dark brown head. Beautiful lacing. Scents include cocoa, coffee, Melloid cough drops and roasted caramel. First swig was very bold with initial flavours of sweet black coffee and ending with a mixture of licorice and dark chocolate. Finish is medium sweet and burnt with a thick, almost syrupy mouthfeel.

330ml bottle. Pours black with a big tan head that lasts. Chocolate, ash, toast, sweet cherry, orange peel, touch of pine, little booze in the finish. Reasonably big body. Outstanding.

0,33 l bottle. Pours almost black with big frothy lasting tan head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, cocoa, caramel, some dried fruit, smoke and a hint of alcohol. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, licorice, molasses and smoke. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is full, texture thick and carbonation average. Finish is long, lasting bitter coffee.

My first experience from this brewery, which I have been wanting to try for a while. Black colour with hardly any highlights. Huge creamy warm beige head, great retention and loads of sticky lace. Aromas of chocolate malts, cocoa nibs with hints of coffee and roasted malts. Roasted malt taste with some liquorice notes, molasses, chocolate and decent hops in the finish. Lightly oily mouthfeel with a dry end. A pretty nice first experience.

Black beer, thick brown head. Smell is COFFEE. All the way. Taste too. Dry and malty flavour, some zesty hop but it's still a lot of coffee. Delicious for.it.

Can from the LCBO. Dark mahogany with a one finger khaki coloured head that hangs around and leaves some patchy lace. Nose is coffee, chocolate, brown sugar, smoke, pine, light grapefruit and floral notes. Flavour is light+ sweet caramel and brown sugar with a big bitterness with contributions from dark chocolate, coffee, pine, and citrus. Mouth is full, smooth and creamy with soft carbonation and lingering bitter finish. Alcohol is well integrated and there is enough hop presence to push this into Black IP territory. Excellent 9/4+/8+/5/18

(On tap) Black with good dense tan head. Nice aroma - dark roast malt mainly. Lovely mouthfeel - smooth medium body with creamy carbonation. Great taste - rich and complex. Dark toffee, raisins, alcohol; nice bitterness in finish. Very good.
