Sample at Cock & Bull Pub in Sarasota. Pours a clear mahogany color with a medium off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of butter rum, caramel and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of rum, vanilla, molasses and malt. The finish is sweet with a rum and vanilla aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap at Sidedoor. Filtered looking stained glass brown-burgundy body. Steady creamy beige head. Sweet rum and brown chocolate aroma. The rum is quite apparent, but overall this is a pretty decent offering, maybe a touch too sweet. Very reminiscent of rum cake, would go perfectly with something like that. The sweet rum flavors work well here, but there isn’t much malt depth, and no real hop character of course. OK. Easy drinking for the ABV.
