A classic brown ale, with chocolate and caramel flavours, balances with a slight bitterness.

Poured from a 341mL bottle. Dark brown colour with nice beige head. Nutty, earthy aroma with some caramel. Hits with a bit of a light nutty roast flavour, but dissipates quite quickly for a weak finish. Very mild hop bitterness. Not very full-flavoured.

Has an aroma of nuttiness but little else. Okay amber body but little head. Flavour is all nuttiness, on the slightly watery side. Lacks complexity, kind of a "meh" beer: just predictable and okay.

341mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber-tinged brown with a small beige head. Aroma is full of English malts, a little dry toffee, and crusty rye bread. Flavour brings out dry crusty bread, English malt, a faint hint of toffee, and some English hops. Pretty light-bodied, characterized by the dry crusty bread. Easy drinking, no-nonsense pale, but nothing too exciting.

Draught at Manchester Public Eatery, Vancouver
Dark amber color. The aroma hits with a nice nuttiness. The mouthfeel is lean, dry, with delicate toasty notes; correct bitterness; the final gets a bit creamy.
A different one; pleasant.
