Discover our 100% organic Gulpener Ur-Hop. An unfiltered, quirky speciality lager, with 'dry hopping'. In this 'dry hopping' we add the hops one week after the brewing process to increase the hop aroma. This way you can appreciate the delicious scent of fresh hop cones and enjoy the characteristically bitter taste.

Since 2022 known as Ur-Hop IPA.

[as Gulpener Ur-Hop IPA] Bottiglia.

Bottle from a supermarket. Aroma is fruity hops with citrus, floral hop, orange, tropical notes, grass. Medium bitter flavour with a slight sweetness. Medium body. Easy, hoppy and very drinkable: A worthy follow-up to Ur-hop.

Hoppy aroma of pale malt, citrus, herbal tea, grapefruit. Flavour is fruity and hoppy leading to a nicely bitter finish. Mildly sweetish and medium bodied. Quite a nice beer!

Bottle 0,3ltr: Hazy yellow/amber colored brew with nice dry bitter taste with fruity hints, the tastiest of their "Ur" series.

Bottle drunk while the internet is down, thankfully I've partly returned to physical media with 4K BluRay to foil Vodafone Cable and their incompetent shenanigans. Light hazy golden amber, small head, faintly sour dry nose with moderate citrusy notes. Flavor is nice mild farmhouse, smooth bitterness that's citrusy and a bit piney, nondescript but very pleasant and refreshing.

Orange, medium hazy body, with a big, frothy, white head. Aroma and taste of stone fruits, tropical fruits, citrus, some pine, grass, slight biscuit. Slightly oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes medium bitter, citric, zesty, a bit grassy, fruity, a bit piney. Solid, old-school IPA. Lots of fruits, with enough bitterness and some sweet malt body. Score: 7 / 4 / 7 / 3 / 14

Hazy golden colour, moderate sized creamy ivory head; aroma of floral, linden honey, herbal hoppy, grainy and slight citrusy notes; perfectly balanced bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; I wish I had never have worst lager than this one!
