The base of this beer is a robust porter that uses large amounts of chocolate malts to achieve a chocolaty flavour. Pumpkin is used in the mash along with traditional pumpkin pie spicing in the brew kettle. An English strain of yeast is used to give this beer a slightly fruity yeast derived flavour.

Well balanced. Robust constant flavor good in begging. Punkin is suitably light here. Pour black without much head or lacing. Finishes lightly bitter with some sourness. Thick texture. Light chocolate. Tap at volos.

Bottle - Pumpkin, spices and roasted malts. Jet black with a thin brown head. Roasted malts, some light chocolate and a bit of spice. The pumpkin doesn’t really shine here.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark red/brown with light head. Smoky, roasted malt and light espresso aromas. More porter than pumpkin/spice flavors but one can catch the later. Just my type of type of pumpkin beer. Nice.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a very dark brown / near black with a small brown head. Aroma is almost all chocolate, no pumpkin detection for me. Flavour is well-balanced between the cocoa and pumpkin, giving both about equal room to breathe. Light-bodied, but fairly full-flavoured. Decently enjoyable.
