The champagne-like bubbles, distinctive hop bouquet, and balanced character of Liberty Ale revives centuries-old ale brewing traditions that are now more relevant than ever. First introduced in 1975, Liberty Ale is brewed strictly according to traditional craft brewing methods, and uses only natural ingredients — pale malted barley, fresh whole-cone Cascade hops and a special top-fermenting yeast, and water.

Pajiza amarilla con mucho poso. Poca espuma. Aroma bestial.. flroes y flores. Muy ligera en boca, confirmando el aroma en el sabor. Amargor final justo y toque cítrico. Notable.

Bottle at the Free Press, Cambridge. Dark golden with plentiful carbonation. Grain, apple, cereal, spruce nose. Hint of plastic. (Side note: I get this a lot from Anchor). Taste threatens bitterness, but delivers a syrupy sweetness on top of the hop bitterness. Yumsers. Long drier finish. Aftertaste tends more toward bitterness.

12oz bottle from Masuyo’s Liquor in Asagaya. Poured into an English pint glass. Beautiful golden amber color with an off-white soapy head. Great lacing throughout. Nice citrus and resin on the nose. Slightly earthy and malty on the palate along with the citrus notes mentioned before. Nice medium body and perfect dry finish. An all-around classic APA.

Slightly hazy medium amber colour, big frothy and sticky white head, recedes slowly, thin layer remains all the way, good sticky lacing. Malty aroma, fruity (apricot, peach), caramel, floral and citrus hops. Taste medium bitter and sweet, good balance of malts and hops, fruity notes. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, dry bitter aftertaste, citrus, lightly spiced, quite mild for an APA, pleasant.
