Can to Belgian chalice.
Appearance: dark red to mahogany in color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated to leave some messy lace
Aroma: candied apples, Belgian yeasty semi-spiciness, caramel malts, some grassy to earthy character
Flavor: blended aromatics show up sweetly and spicy, mild caramel malty to Belgian yeasty spicy aftertaste
Texture: medium bodied, decent sipper, finishes with some dry apple-like to Belgian yeastiness
Overall: well, I'd say it's pretty good as a Belgian strong golden ale, perhaps but a true Belgian Tripel, hmmmm...well, I think some things in the recipe may need to change.

Can, from City Swiggers, Manhattan (Sept 2024). Pours faintly cloudy dark yellow/orange with a small frothy light beige head, sweet malt aroma with faint alcohol, medium carbonation, mildly sweet caramel malt taste with faint spicy flavor, alcohol undertones, thin body, long bitterish finish. Smooth triple.

It is your basic tallboy aluminum can with a minimalist stick-on label. Tripel, as it is called currently, was recently acquired from the nice people at Halftime. No knowledge of the brewer but I do like tripels considerably. I pull the tab and make the pour into a snifter. The appearance is a regal, golden body finished with a small ring of white foam. An attractive scent, peach, white bread and yeast. The taste goes along with the nose, pretty decent. Apricots, peaches to a lesser degree, grain, yeast, banana surprisingly and the barest intrusion of hops. The brew warms up, it gets only better. A most pleasant tasting.

Orange peel and some florals. Coriander. Pretty nice drinking tripel. Orange amber pour with decent head. Pleasant, though not sublime. Can.

16oz can. Dark orange body, looks filtered. Thin, patchy, white head. Big fruity yeast tone, bready malts, not really nailing the malt or hop profile of a classical Tripel. Perhaps more in line with Duvel or just a Pale Strong Belgian Ale. Drinkable at 8.7%, but still full bodied. Some warming alcohol notes in the finish. Some vanilla tones in there as well. OK.

Can - labeled as Tripel - light amber pour with a quickly dissipating head - smells of overripe fruit, bubblegum, honey, alcohol - flavor is bitter, boozy, husky - sticky malt - black pepper - some ginger - medicinal finish - not just bad as a Tripel (which it most certainly is not), bad in general.
