Can. Deep dark chocolate brown. Small head. Aroma was roasted grains with just a hint of chocolate. Taste was much more chocolate, roasted grains, and vanilla.

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a amber/brown sort of color with a barely any head.
The aroma had some caramel, burnt chocolate, coffee grounds and cooked dark fruit.
The flavor blends all of those previously mentioned aromas extremely sweet feeding a weird sort of artificial flavor. Wet super sweet candy-ish aftertaste and the same sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with an unspeakable sessionability that would make one think - where’s the beef on this body? Nope, not there. Low carbonation. ABV seems ok.
Overall, a porter with no body and an overly sweetened aroma and flavor. Brewery tickin’, yeah, sure, but almost making me think what the rest of their beers are like.

16 oz. can. Brown (almost Amber) in color with weak tan head. Aroma is caramel, chocolate, cocoa powder, dark fruit.

Flavor comes off almost artificial. Candy like. also shows a week metallic hint. Very light in body, (nearly watery). Not a very convincing performance on this beer. I will pass on this one.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a dark brown with a ruby hue. Aroma of chocolate with a hint of cinnamon. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Dark chocolate with a hint of coffee and cinnamon. Insert where they get the "brownie" from. It’s almost like a brownie made with bittersweet chocolate. Pretty good.

Bottle. Pours dark brown off white head. Nose and taste of brown sugar, cinnamon, toasted chocolate, vanilla extract and old fudge. Watery light body. More of a brown ale than a porter.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet chocolate malt with a touch of cinnamon. Flavor is creamy chocolate from the cacao nibs. Finish leaves a ok chocolate on the tongue as this goes down. This is a ok beer with enough chocolate showing up to give this a good rating.

Very Dark Brown, Almost Black Color, Small Weak Head Did Not Last Long, Spotty Lacing. Almost No Aroma At First, Then As It Warms Up Faint Cacao Vanilla Comes Out. Toasted, Cacao Vanilla, Sweet With Slightly Unpleasant Bitter Finish. Thin and Watery, Therefor Reminds Me More Of A Dark Lager with Flavors. Waaaay Over Carbonated, Hard To Drink Until Fizz Goes Away... Good Intentions, Poor Execution... Pass It...

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 1/20/13, Rating 2775

Aroma: The nose is sweet and malty, with chocolate, caramel, vanilla, and a little spice
Appearance: Pours a clear reddish-dark orange/brown color with a small beige head and light lace
Flavor: Taste-wise, it is sweet, with the same notes as the nose and almost no balancing bitterness
Palate: The body is light and it drinks a little too watery, with average-plus carbonation and a short duration
Overall Impression: This is an OK beer. I don't think it tastes like a brownie, but it is sweet, and it has some of the same flavors. The feel is a bit of an issue as well, as it is hard to shake how watery it feels. Overall, this one is not bad, just sub par.

From a tap at burgatory in robinson. Not quite as dark as I would expect a porter to be. Does have a mild roastiness to it on the olfactory, so I guess its almost porter like in smell. Taste is somewhat like a dark decent beer, mild without lots of personality. Lacks some of th attributes that I associate with porter, probably more like a dark lager. Same with the appearance, this stuff is not really dark enough to be a porter, more like a yuengling and I don’t mean the black and tan. Yes, not offensive so I guess that is a positive when it comes to beer ande ale. Finish is accetable. One of the less offensive horny goat beers I’ve had.
