(Bottle, 0.33 l, courtesy of VastActiv, 20130713) The beer poured orange and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had spices, pepper and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spices, malts, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. Way too thin but the flavour was right.

On tap at Haand Festival. It’s an unclear, orange colored beer topped by a dense, white head of two-finger size. Nice lacings. The aroma has a nice impact from the saison yeast, it’l lighlty peppery and fruity, with peach hints, some canned tropical fruits and a generic fruityness. Mostly fruity that is. There’s probably a tad too much sweetness in the flavor, but it suits the beer very well, it’s semi-dry and with a pleasant level of carbonation, finishing mostly fruity. Except for the sweetness level, it’s a really pleasant one, wouldn’t shy away from drinking more of this, that’s for sure. 130525

330ml bottle. Hazy amber colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Floral and spicy aroma, pepper, a cautious note of orange. Taste is spicy, hints of bath salt, lime, cilantro.

[330ml bottle from Utobeer, London] Hazy orange with a large cream head and rather too much fizz. A little banana at first, then dry, with sour lemon, pepper, bubble gun, bread, cardboard, sage and cloves. [That would be bubble gum I meant there. It definitely doesn’t taste of bubble gun!]. Undoubtedly complex, but overall I didn’t like this as much as I hoped.

Bottle at home, picked up from the brewery, 01/04/13. Pours a hazed golden amber with a thinnish white head that holds up well. Nose is yeast, light funk, farmy, lemon tang, orange peel, pinch of nutmeg. Taste comprises yeast, orange peel, citrus notes, grass, lemon rind, light spice, musty funkadellics. Medium bodied, soft soft carbonation, smooth as, pitched perfectly, dryish finale. This is a top draw saison!

Very hazy amber beer. Tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is light, crisp and semi dry. Lemon - lime base, mild milky sweetness and a good pinch of black pepper. Trace of perfumed spice. Finishes dry and tangy leaning toward mildly sour. Medium bitterness. Good stuff.
