Cask @ Golden Rule, Edinburgh [250813]
Golden, clear, dense white head, good lacing
Aroma - soft grassy hops, soft sweet malt, little else
Taste as aroma, some citrus, soft grassy hops, sweet light pale malt background, bit bland
Palate - Light body, bit oily, more flavour in the finish though, some cereal coming through
Overall - Not one of Tempest’s best beers

Pours a light yellow with firm white long-lasting head. Some citrus on the aroma, but not masses. Bit of biscuit. Good balance of sweet and bitter on the taste, but a bit thin. Overall, not a bad session beer.

Keg at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours crystal clear yellow-gold, lightly effervescent with a slight, creamy white topping. Floral, perfumey hops in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with more flowers, lavender, maybe some soap, fine dough, straw. Light bodied with fine but sharp carbonation. Crisp finish with some biscuity pale malts, lighter floral notes than before, mellow bitterness. Interesting.

Keg at Hanging Bat. It pours pale yellow with a small white head. The nose is mild citrus, white grape, biscuit and floral. The taste is zesty citrus, light sherbet, straw, biscuit and floral notes with a dry, bitter finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth and drinkable, if a little unexciting.
