Built in 1881 to showcase the electrification of the west, San Jose’s Electric Light Tower stood for over 30 years as a shinning star above the Santa Clara Valley.
Our Electric Tower IPA reimagines this icon as an intensely West Coast Style IPA. A firm malt base builds support for the abundance of hops, allowing hints of pine, citrus and tropical fruit to shine through and light up your palate!

The 22oz bomber pours with a clear copper to gold body that supports an off white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up a good bit of citrus to mango fruity hoppiness and then a firm onion like dank spicy hoppiness. Nice. The taste delivers both juicy citrus to mango fruity hoppiness as well as spicy and hop bitterness. I’m really liking this. It’s grapefruit, tangerine, mango, lime and a bit of pine hops leading straight into firm spicy onion hop dankness and then lesser amounts of earthy tea. This particular bottle is showing some age but it is really hitting the spot right. I’d love to try this fresh.

Bottle shared at The Bruery. Pours clear gold with a white foam head. The nose has dry pine, orange rind. Medium sweet with dirty pine bitterness, more citrus rind, moderately sugary toasty pale malts. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish with further pine notes, dried citrus rind. OK stuff overall.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma of piney hops, a little buttery hops, and a slight fruitiness. Flavour is very sharp, full of soapy floral hops, a little dry pine, and dry biscuity malt. This is quite sharp and astringent, finishing on harsh soapy floral hops. Super dry and quite drinkable. Very solid IPA.

Bottle. Pours crystal clear orange with a medium off-white creamy head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Big room filling aroma of beautiful grapefruit, passionfruit, mango, cat piss, pine resin. Perhaps a bit of butter as the beer warms and the hop aroma fades? Hits the sweet spot nicely. Flavor is very light sweet, going dry quite quickly with a dry finish. Light bitterness lingering to the finish as well, perhaps strengthening to medium. Just a touch of caramel malt coming through. Medium body, lightly oily mouthfeel. Pretty nice inaugural effort!
