Our double version of Bu Weisse, a spontaneously fermented interpretation of a Berliner Weisse. Fermented and aged in oak barrels, this batch was dry hopped to accentuate the lemon and citrus character in the base beer. Dry, crisp, sour and citrusy.

Bottle - Funky feet and some tropical fruit. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Big tartness, acidic fruit and a fruity finish. Nice, tart and refresing.

750mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has that strange de Garde funk, earthy notes, and light hops. Flavour is bizarre, with earthy notes, weird funk, a little peach, and some dirty notes. Very strange, with some funky off-notes. Not overly pleasant.

Thanks to Don for sharing! Very smooth nose. Hints of herbs. The beer starts nice sour, fresh, easy to drink. The mainpart is fruity-fresh, herbal, citrus-mango, very great. Tropical fruit is everywhere (Mango, passion fruit, pineapple). The aftertaste is fresh, fruity, nice fresh sour. Great beer! 14/13/14/13

750 ml bottle. Aroma is full of Bretty top cal fruit, pineapple and cherry. Medium light citrus notes of tangerine with a hint of pine resin and floral grass. Light wheat notes and light acidity. Medium light oak notes. Pours a slightly hazy, pale, golden yellow with a moderately thick, fluffy white head that displays average retention as it recedes to the edges where it lingers forever. Flavor is moderately acidic with a nice citrus complexity of tangerine, lemon and mandarin. Moderate, but balanced hop notes of resin, tropical fruit and floral grass. Medium oak notes and medium light Brett notes of tropical fruit and pineapple. Low bitterness. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a super enjoyable beer. Lots of great citrus notes along with tropical fruit. Nice, integrated oak notes with moderate acidity. Hop notes adds a really interesting character. Honestly, the flavor isn’t what you expect from a Berliner, some won’t like it, but I really enjoy it.

Bottle thanks to Bruce. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy head that lasts. The aroma is strong hop, lemon zest, oak, funk. Thin mouthfeel with nice light citrus hop and light sourness. Easy to drink, really enjoyed this.
