22 oz. bottle, pours thick jet oily black with a medium brown head. Aroma is rich and complex, with dark chocolate, espresso notes and ample roasted malt. Flavour follows suit, with intense dark chocolate upfront, followed by a lovely roasted malt body, and ending on fine espresso. What a luxuriously velvety body this has. Pretty much everything I love about impies. Harmonious and amazingly drinkable. Phenomenal beer.

Bottle. Pours opaque rich black, medium creamy brown head, dissipates fairly quickly, nice lacing. Aroma is rich mocha, chocolate and cold press coffee, hint of ashtray. Flavor follows, medium sweet and light plus bitter, loads of mocha chocolate with a hint of smokiness. Fullish body, creamy mouthfeel. Solid coffee stout for sure.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown black with a foamy dark tan head. Aroma of mocha - more chocolate than coffee. A bit earthy. Near full bodied. Flavor starts dark malt, then coffee, then earthy dark chocolate. Bitter dark chocolate. This is not malty. It is quite delicious. Candy of the dark side.

From a 650ml bottle on 3/3/2015. Pours the deepest, darkest brown, with a small to medium tan head. Has a gorgeous powerful aroma of coffee, with some cocoa in the mix. The flavour is dominated by coffee, and ably assisted by dark and milk chocolate, with just a hint of dark fruit and soy in the background. Sweet but not overly so, with a moderate to firm roasty bitterness countering. Has a creamy palate and average carbonation. A really well made, beautifully balanced impy.

On tap in Denver for GABF 2012. Pours a very dark brown color with a medium off-white head. A big nose of coffee, vanilla and roast. Very nice flavor: rich milky intense coffee, vanilla, some heat, dry finish of figs and coffee. Nice.
