Bottle shared during the first Late Nite session of RBWG 2015. Pours Deep brown with a frothy tan head. Simple milk chocolate on the nose, some pine. Medium sweet flavor with pleasant toasted pine, light cleansing minerals, chocolate candies. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, some further toasted pine, lightly bittersweet chocolate. Tasty stuff overall.

22 oz. bottle purchased directly from the brewery on the release day. Deep brown color with lasting white head retention. Aroma is tempting. Large amounts of earthy hops with chocolaty and nutty malts.
The taste lives up to the delicious aroma. The nutty, smoky and caramel hops are balanced with the strong addition of herbal and earthy hops. Secondary flavor of chocolate or cocoa powder notes. The earthy hops balance out the sweet nutty malts very nicely. The bitterness lingers just slightly. Some lightly complex flavors for the style, lots of character. The body is thick and smooth, with a dry texture.
Overall I loved the balance most about this beer, it wasn’t overly hoppy or too sweet. Highly drinkable and on the higher end of a very simple style. I look forward to popping open more beers from this new brewery here in the Granite state.

Bottle from the brewery. Pours a fairly clear deep dark brown with a decent sized fluffy beige head that blankets the top for a good long time. Aromas of hops, shit yeah lots of earthy citrusy hops atop a solid base of bready, chocolate, and caramel maltiness. The flavor follows the aroma quite well. Rich caramel and chocolate countered with a solid earthy citrus hop flavor. Moderate hop bitterness is never harsh. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a creamy silky velvety mouthfeel. Wow, I’m impressed! This is a damn fine brown ale from a brand new brewery. I look forward to sampling more from this upstart.
