We are celebrating our 1000th batch with these two beers. They are quite similar, though the color differs. They are both brewed with spices, inspired by 1001 night.

Almost clear golden to light amber topped with a thin off white cap.
Nose is thin for the ABV, fruit esters, herb, grains, hint of caramel.
Taste comprises grains, light honey, caramel, fruit rinds, herb, spice.
Medium bodied wit bite, fine carbonation, drying close.
Passable affair ... doesn't come anywhere near to delivering for a double digits ABV beer!

A light haze on this amber brown beer, small bubbly off white head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light caramel and cream malts. A decent smorgasbord of spices, nicely layered and not dry or gritty. Touch of ripe fruits on the finish. A mellow and pleasant SHV. My 150ml was more than enough.

Bottle. Deep amber colour with a mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is spices, some sweet malts, syrup and mild alcohol. Flavour is cherries, some syrup, mild sweet malts, some spiciness, some ginger and mild toffeeish and fudgelike tones.

Aroma malt, krydder, karamell, noe mørk frukt. Utseende tåkete gylden med hvitt skum. Smak krydder, malt, brunsukker, karamell. Søtlig, noe tørr, bitterhet i ettersmaken. Flaske kjøpt på Vinmonopolet Nerstranda Tromsø, smakt Desember 2013, 10% 25cl

(Bottle) Deep amber colour with brief, foamy, off-white head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of caramel, spices (sweet gale, saffron, coriander, sage) and orange peel. Malty, spicy taste with caramel, orange peel, syrup, candy sugar, sweet gale, spices and a balanced, spicy bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and quite spicy (hard to pinpoint all flavours). Nice one.
