Cardiff Mini-break Beer#18. Clear glowing golden coloured lager. Has a bit of the rice thing going on in flavour. Reminds me a bit of the imported Stella I drank a lot in my early 20's. I'm glad I moved on in my beer journey afterwards! This is a re-rate as I've had it in the funky shaped can from a supermarket before.

330ml can served at the Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounge, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal clear light golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is cardboard, yeasty. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a light, somewhat watery, crisp, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottle from local Home Bargains store, drank at home. [Actually brewed by Brand Direct at 4.8% in the Netherlands !] Pours golden yellow with a small transient frothy off-white head. There’s malts and syrup in the aroma. In the mouth it quite sharp with metallic undertones. Flavour is mainly corn and rice with hints of lucozade and a bitter sickly dry finish. This is a typical industrial macro beer – yuck !

Keg at the Vagabond, Whitehaven. Pale gold with a thin white head. Lower carbonation than is usual for international macro lagers results in a nice soft mouthfeel. There's a hint of grass in the flavour, otherwise it's just light, sweetish malts. Very easy drinking and inoffensive, but instantly forgettable.

Hi ho hi ho I’m rating sap-por-o. I like it the best of the "big 3" Japanese mass market beers here in the US.
