Bottle. Pours dark brown tan head. Nose/taste of milk sugar, coffee, cocoa, piney hops, resin and roast chocolate. Medium body.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nice coffee chocolate malt with espresso overtones, grassy resinous hops, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with caramel and coffee, resinous hops, well balanced, excellent. On tap at Timothy O’toole’s.

Enjoyed on tap at Emporium Arcade Bar in Chicago, IL. Appearance is pitch black with a rich off white head. Aroma of piney hops, chocolate, lactose, sweetness. Taste is like a sweet black IPA, roasted chocolate notes with a pine / citrus hop profile and a touch of coffee and lactose. Pretty good stuff, definitely a sipper, but good.

Sampler at Standard Market. Okay, my review gives this beer a ranking: Black in the rounded sampler glass, a thin yet bubbly ring of foam. Dark chocolate milk nose. Taste has a nice sweetness and noticeable alcohol like a cordial. Also chocolate again, and threads of vanilla. The usual bitter stout malt in the background.

On tap at Bangers & Lace. Pours black with a yellowish brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of dark roasted malts with a bit of coffee and a hint of pine hops. Flavor also has a lot of dark roasted malts with some pine hop coming through and just a hint of coffee.
