Keg at BD Sheppy B. It pours darkest brown with a medium light beige head. The nose is rich, oily, bitter-sweet, smokey, hotdogs, dark fruits, jammy fruits, earthy, wood, savoury, light floral, plum, earthy roast and some durian on the back end. The taste is soft, bitter-sweet, earthy, smokey, meaty, dark fruits, roasted malt, date, plum, durian, twig, leather and spice rub with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Bizarre, yet somehow comes together. Decent.

Draught @ Brewdog Helsinki. Aroma is quite unique and nice with toasted sugar, cocoa, licorice and ripe fruits. Flavour has licorice, deep roasted tones, some coffee, molasses and cocoa. Sweet-ish but quite delicious still. Palate is a bit too fizzy.

Dark black/brown-amber color with tan head. Aroma of smoke, bacon, good malts behind it. Taste is caramel, good smoke as well, rather amber, not too dark malts. Nice balance, nice finish. Now this is a good smoked beer!

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 25 Feb 2015) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, smoky, slightly fruity nose with notes of smoked tea, caramel, and birch-wood smoke. Malty, slightly smoky taste with chocolate, toffee, a touch of coffee, gentle flavours of smoke and a balanced bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Really tasty and well balanced, with a gentle smoke character (it’s more upfront in the nose than in the mouth). Very nice.
