Bottle, shared at Northern Monk. Hazy, deep purple. Dense, foamy, dark pink head. Nose has cherry lips sweets. Parma Violets. Some earthy, red fruit. Some raspberry yoghurt. Cheesy funk behind all that. Taste is tart and yoghurt like sour. Dry as a bone, too. Light to medium body. Clean and crisp. Prickly fizz. Tart, dry, and sour finish. Decent. A glass was probably enough, though.

Bottle shared by Jack, thanks! Pours a near clear purple with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a slight veggie note with some tart boysenberries with a bit of funk supporting. Flavor has a great tart boysenberry with a bit of funk and a hint of veggie underlying.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is fairly boysenberry forward with a nice jammy character. Light phenolic and berry skins. Light oak notes. hints of tropical fruit and citrus. Pours dark purple with a large, frothy, pinkish purple head that slowly recedes. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor is moderately acidic with a ton of boysenberry flavor. Very jammy with a light sweetness and moderate acidity. Hints of citrus and tropical fruit. A hint of oak. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a classic de Garde beer with a ton of jammy berry notes. Nice complimentary yeast profile with a bit of oak.

Tasting at Matt’s
Dark ruby color, small pink head. Earthy dirt aroma, red beets, potatoes, a bit fruity. Weak and dry mouthfeel, with strong acidity, and also quite strong astringency; lacking of malt, with some lemony fruitiness, light berries touch, a bit earthy; shy bitterness and weak finish.
Quite weird, nothing special.
