Bottle thanks to Diego. Pours a dark brown with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong roast, cocoa, dark fruit, rum, wood. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, light tartness, nice booze finish, really enjoyed this.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is fruity with quite a bit of cherry, raisin, fig and prune with some lighter tropical fruit. Medium light rum note with a hint of oak. Light chocolate and roast notes with a bit of toasted bread and caramel. A touch of alcohol spice. Pours black with some dark brown hues on the edges and a large, thick, dark tan head that shows great retention as it slowly recedes. Flavor is somewhat sweet upfront with moderate roast notes and some lighter chocolate. Moderate acidity hits mid palate with some tart cherry, figs, prunes, plums and raisin. Hints of tropical fruit and citrus. Medium bitterness. Some medium light rum notes with a bit of spice and oak. More acidity, tart cherries and some berries as it warms. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer, but far form my preferred beers. This is more like a rum barrel aged dark sour ale. I’m not a big fan of dark sours and am so-so on rum barrels so this doesn’t do it for me. Its better as it warms and your palate adjusts to the acidity.

Bottle @ Steve_0’s palace, courtesy of Stephen. Thanks! Pours a deep brown appearance with a dark brown head. Some twanginess in the nose. A bit of dark fruit, chocolate, and roast as well. Somewhat boozy, kind of barrel forward. Carbonation is a bit heavy. Some burnt and fruity notes as well. Ehh.

Bottle @SARA. Shared among friends. Pours deep brown with a small tan head and nice lacing. Aroma is tart cherry, oak, light funk, roasted malt. Loses its tartness as the beer breathes and becomes more standard porter-esque. Flavor is medium sweet, lightly tart, perhaps rum although certainly not pronounced. A fair amount of woody astringence present. Medium body, high carbonation.
