Draft at source - pours orange white head. Nose/taste of bubblegum, orange peel, honey, caramel - medium body.

Clear, brassy-gold body is topped by a small but firm white head.
Nicely attenuated, though still rich pale malts in the nose create a very heavily honeyed nose, with graham crackers, light vanilla and a touch of sourdough white bread all in there. Deep malt nose, as a heller bock should have, with maybe just a touch of earthy hops adding light pepperiness. No alcohol or flaws.
Assertive maltiness up front with appropriate attenuation, though tending slight sweet, quite crystal malt-like. Light raisins, lots of sourdough and a touch of warmth on the finish. Slightly "hard" texture. Appropriate, moderate carbonation. Very nice attempt, one that you wouldnt expect from Night Shift (though having just done a vienna, I guess they are going through the classic German styles).
