33cl bottle from Beerfox/Callous Alus, Riga. Warm up for the a-ha concert. Pours dark brown with a beige looking head. Mild roasty aroma with caramel, some ripe dark fruits and hints of licorice and wood. Sweet and round with moderate flavour intensity and a fairly light bitterness. Alcohol content not too obvious. Easy to drink and fairly tasty.

Sampled from tap at ’Craft & Draft’. Clear, very dark red with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan to brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of raisins, blackberries and some chocolate. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity taste of dark chocolate, some coffee, raisins, blackberries and some licorice, followed by a short, slightly bitter, roasty finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, flat. Very nice!

33cl bottle from Maakun? Euro Swap 2015, I think. Bbe 06.08.17. Pours near black with a thick off white head. Dark fruity notes, roasty, malty some cocoa in aroma. Similar flavors. Cocoa, dark chocolate, some ashy dryness. Feels thin, not really opening up.

Pours an almost opaque black with a decent head that gives way quickly to a thin coffee-like lacing. Smells like a typical porter, with roasted malts, molasses and a bit of coffee. The taste is kinda what you’d expect from the smell, with a sweet roasty malt backbone with notes of coffee and dark chocolate. A bit watered down for my taste, the taste, aftertaste and consistence being lighter than I’d like, but still a good brew.

Very well-balanced porter with good foam. Quite mild. No surprises but pleasant enough.

On tap at Kompaan Den Haag. Dark brown colour lasting tan head. Very malty like soreen malt loaf. It’s very malty. Not much else going on but it’s OK.
