In the mouth we find this caramel note accompanied by a sweet flavor that offers a beautiful balance and a very suitable roundness in this winter season.

Bottle 75 cl. Rich amber color, clear, with a nice yellowish foam head. Aroma: sweet, candy and caramel, some esters, like pear or apple, a little spicy. Taste: sweet, fruit candy, caramel, pear and a little citrus, a little burnt sugar, a little wine, slightly bitter finish.

25cl bottle. Poured a clear chestnut brown colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is nutty caramel malt, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, malt, red berry fruit, light Christmas spice, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Pours and amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Sweetish malty spicy caramel flavor with some yeasty hints.

25cl Brown bottle, best before 28 Sept 2012, drank 30 Dec 2010. Poured into my ’La Chouffe’ stemmed tulip glass. Clear amber body with a huge snowy white head on top. The smell was very sweet, molasses and a mix of Christmassy spices. The taste followed the smell, almost too sweet for me (and I prefer maltier, semi-sweeter beers). As the beer warmed it seemed to get sweeter, so if you do find one and drink it, drink it fast! Not overly impressed and if this is their ’Special Noel’ I wouldn’t want to try their ’Normal Noel’.
