Bottle from Wholefoods. Dark brown body with a faint beige head that quickly fades. No lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malt, dark fruits and a hint of spice. Flavour of caramelised sugar, brown bread and a suggestion of Christmas pudding. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. A nice warming beer for a cold winter’s night.

Bottle from the St Peters Brewery. Poured a dark ruby with a thin tan head. Aroma of vanilla, dark fruit, spice and spruce. Flavours of black treacle, prunes, orange peal and cinnamon. Finishes with coffee and hop resin.

Bouteille 500ml. De couleur brune foncée et claire. Nez de malt rôti, de café, léger de pain et de réglisee noire avec des notes fruitées (fruits foncés), de houblon herbeux, de réglisse noire, de noix et de chocolat noir. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement bas et une texture riche et légèrement crémeuse et huileuse. Léger goût fruité (léger de cerises, notes de prunes et traces de raisins vineux) aux notes de réglisse noire ainsi que des traces fumées lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi rapidement d’un goût de malt rôti aux petites notes terreuses avec un léger de chocolat noir ainsi que des notes de pain puis progressivement vient s’ajouter un goût léger-moyen amer et asséchant de houblon herbeux avec un moyen goût de café ainsi que des notes de noix grillées. Post-goût long-moyen aux notes sèches, moyennement amer de rôti, moyen de café et de houblon herbeux aux notes terreuses avec des notes de noix et de fruits. (2006)

500 ml bottle sampled in 2006. Dark ruby brown body with a small brown head. Aroma of light roasted malt, bread and dry fruit. Flavor has nice, sweet, roasted malt, dry fruit, coffee and balanced bitterness. Fine body and a good aftertaste. Nice, tasty and smooth.

Bottle 50 cl Black with a medium lightbrown head. Aroma of chocolate, dark fruits and some spices. Sweet taste withj a chocolate ending. 12.01.2013

Aroma is somewhat spicy with ripe fruits, caramel and toffee. Flavour is spicy with toffee, ripe fruits, licorice and caramel. Once again too strong on St. Peter’s house flavour, but not bad still.

Bottle 0.5l at St Michael, Oulu. Colour is dark brown with small brownish white head. Aromas and flavours are raisins, coffee, chocolate, sweetness and malts. Quite nice.

Easily the best ive had from this brewer. Smells very malty with some definite smoke. Pours dark brown with decent hecad, lacing. Syrupy, thick consistency. Certainly some booze hanging around the aroma as well. Aftertaste is a little sweet and a little oaky bitter. Well balanced, but a little too syrupy for my liking. Bottle.

Flaske 0,5l fra Alko Muonio. Dyprød/svart med et høyt, litt farget skum. Drukket hjemme 10 Des 12. Ganske tett. Varer en stund. En god & svakt krydret aroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken er litt karamell & litt røyk. Innholdsrik. Litt syrlighet i avslutninga. Gjennomgående lakrispreg, KI=6
