500 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 9.8%. Ingredients include artificial colour (hm ...) E 150 c, liquorice and anti-oxidant E 300. Black colour, big tan head. Moderate aroma of roasted malts, caramel and some fruit. The flavour is fairly sweet with plenty of caramel and liquorice, while the roastiness and hops come through in the finish. Notes of dark dried fruits too. Roasty aftertaste. Overall too much caramel, but a nice Baltic porter all the same.

Deep ruby color, small brown head. Aroma of cocoa and toasted caramelly notes. Coffee, some nasty alcohol, caramel ... very baltic porter -like. Too much alcohol, but for being Vestfyen sort of drinkable.

Bottle:Very dark ruby-amber coloured, small lacy brownish layer; robust sweet roasty nose, dried fruits inclided, solid sweet-bitter flavour, smooth and almost full bodied, oily texture; burnt malt and coffee in the more sweet than bitter finish. On the sweet side, but nevertheless a tasty, solid brew..........

Pours dark brown (or is is black?) with a rich and creamy head. Sweet and malty aroma with hoppy notes. Smooth mouth-feel. Flavour is sweet and malty with notes of salty liquorice and black currants. The alcohol gives it a somewhat harsh finish. I think this porter is quite underrated.

roasted grassy aroma. not totally pleasing. pitch dark with brown foam that disappeared quite quickly. Taste is dominated by charchoal, deep deep roasted wood, ash, licorice, alcohol burn, sugar, strong but unbalanced and weird too. alc. sort of hidden behind the messy action.

Bottle. It pours a beautiful black body with a brownish note, and a big, lasting tan head on top. No evidence of yeast in the bottom. There’s a lot of alcohol in the aroma, but fortunately there’s also chocolate and coffee, dried fruits and plums, as well as roasted malt and sugary sweetness. It’s quite sweet in the mouth as well, rather sticky actually, with dried fruits, dark chocolate, coffee and alcohol also blending in. There’s some bitterness too, but it’s the coffee-like bitterness, not much hops showing. Creamy and warming as well. It has a long-lasting finish with lots of coffee, chocolate and alcohol. And sweetness. It’s a rather strong beer, sure showing it’s strenght, like a body-builder showing off at the beach, but on the other side, it’s below 10% ABV, so there shouldn’t be a need for the very evident alcohol. I love the other flavors and aromas, the looks and the mouthfeel, therefore I find it hard to roll the dice in a fair way, but overall I liked it, but not as much as the score indicates. Probably. Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown shine under a huge dark brown head. The aroma is sweet malty and roasted with medium notes of dark chocolate, but also a slight vegetable note. The flavor is sweet malty with quite strong notes of roasted malt as well as medium notes of chocolate, the alcohol note hits quite late, but is very persistent and follows thru all the way to the finish and leaves a slight burn in the throat, towards the end a light note of soy sauce also appears. The finish is quite dry.
