The lightest of the offerings at MadTree. There’s nothing terribly fancy about this beer, but at 4.7% ABV and 11 IBUs, it’s a very light, crisp, and approachable beer.

Can. A- Grains, mild lemon. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Grains, corn, faint lemon. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- Okay but just doesn't meet what I want from a Kolsch. Perhaps Germany spoiled me. Refreshing on a hot day, but otherwise just kind of forgettable.

Looks somewhat like lemonade from a can. Big head. Fresh nose. Head goes craggy. Nose goes rather perfumy in the glass. First taste, yes its an ale. A little uncivilized but does not rise to the occasion of many ill tempered ales. Yes, fairly blonde in nature for an ale, decently civilized without any rude ass hops. Not bad overall in the finish, quaffable.

Pretty sparse, even for a kolsch. Mild grainy sweetness with hints of corn against a nigh-nonexistent floral hop finish. Seltzery, beer-ish, and better than macro light crap, but not much else going for it.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 8/17/2017. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with light notes of honey, lemon, orange, pear, apple, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of big wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with light notes of honey, lemon, orange, pear, apple, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light fruits, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness of bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Lightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Very clean on lager flavors, not too fruity/yeast. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is an excellent Kolsch style. All around great robustness of bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the minimal bitter finish. Clean and flavorful wheat/pils malts; with very well restrained yeast ester character, and mild hop balance. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

12 oz. can from thebaldwizard. Thanks Joe! It pours a very pale, mostly clear yellow color with a small, creamy lasting head. The aroma jumps out with fresh baked bread, lemon and light herbal lemongrass notes. The flavor is pretty much the same with dense bready, lightly doughy malts. Hints of concrete and earthy, lemony hops are present, but not strong. The body is kind of full and bready/yeasty yet dry and well attenuated. Decent, but the concrete notes, full body and over lemony hops keep it from being super refreshing.
