The multi-faceted and aptly-named Mosaic hop is the star of this juicy, resinous, low ABV expression of IPA.

Can from Beer52. The other BBNo beer in the Beer52 box was very good, lets see what we get here. Look: Hazy yellow-gold with a small white head, some retention. Aroma: hoppy with citrus, pine and herbs. Taste: citrus pith, mango, herbal grassiness, sweet light bready malt, drying close and a slightly toasty astringency. Palate: Light bodied, dry light chewy finish. Quite a bit going on in the flavour. This is not your average citrus hoppy session IPA. Wasn't sure if I found it that tasty at first but its one of those beers that grows on you. Well it did for me anyway!

(Draught at Brew By Numbers Taproom, Bermondsey, London, 28 May 2022) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of pineapple, passion-fruit and citrus. Fruity, hoppy taste with pineapple, passion-fruit, citrus, pine needles and a balanced citric/piney bitterness in the finish. Medium body, dry. Fresh and tasty, highly drinkable, with a generous hop profile. Very nice.

Can from Beer 52 – drunk at home (as 4.2%). Bit of a froth bomb this one ! On opening poured a glass full of froth and only the teensiest bit of actual beer. Anyway, pours a hazy very pale straw with a vigorous but transient frothy white head. Aroma is mainly tropical fruits with hints of watermelon and coconut. Fairly highly carbonated. In the mouth there is more tropical “lilt” taste. Plenty of pineapple and mango, with some generic citrus lurking underneath. It’s reasonable – but not the sort of beer I would go for.
