In order to survive in the 14th century one needed to be a force to be reckoned with. In Brittany, Spain and France this knight proved his mettle in battle. This tart blueberry ale was brewed in one of our 3,000 gallon foeders in his honour.

Pours clear amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, red berries, tart, funk and hint of vinegar. Taste is light sweet and medium to heavy sour with a long dry, sour, berry and funky finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Draught, 6.8 % abv, shared with Skinnyviking at Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade. Dark red in body colour. Filmy layer. Red and blue tart berries on the nose, dry. Blueberry and raspberry taste joined by green apples. Tart, dry and sweet ending, Decent cleanser (Copenhagen 03.05.2015).

Draught sample at CBC 2015. Hazy, amber colour with a reddish hue. Thin, off-white head. Sour aroma with blueberries, citrus fruits and wooden notes. Taste is sour. Medium body with a slick texture. Finishes dry and acidic with blueberry notes. Nice Sour.
