On tap at the brewery. Aroma is nice with a moderate jammy berry note. Some light oak notes with hints of cherries and raisins as well. Some light toasted bread and caramel notes. Pours a somewhat clear, copper brown with some golden hues and a small, thin white head that recedes to the edges where it clings to the glass. No lacing or legs. Flavor has a light sweetness with moderate acidity. Lighter berry notes with some raspberry, cherry, raisin and cassis. Medium light oak notes. Some light toasted bread with a bit more caramel. Nice and fruity. Low bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice fruitier version of a Flanders Red. Great berry notes, but not enough to overpower the barrel, malt and yeast character. I think Rare Barrel is doing a great job making more complex beers these days.

At the source in Rare Barrel brewpub, Berkley-USA. Hazy Amber pour, gassy off-white foam. Nose: raspberries, mild sourness not blasting the nose, cellar, misty. Mouth: sweet wine must approach, some fruitiness, tons of pepper, passito wine, fermentation. Great! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

New batch on tap at Rare Barrel. It pours a deep golden red color with a frothy off white head. The aroma is lightly funky with some berry medley...mostly blackberries and blueberries. Lightly jammy. The flavor is similar. Lots of blackberry and blueberry jam. A little funk. Super sour. Again, I can’t drink much of this due to the massive acidity, but the jammy fruits are good.
