Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, some coffee, a touch of liqourice. Flavour is roasty, coffee, mild sweetness. Not as full-bodied as I’d like, but this is a fine Stout regardless.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Roast, caramel and smoked cheese in the aroma and flavor. Sweetish. Creamy mouthfeel. Slightly fizzy. Well balanced brew.

Bottle @ Home. Pours black with a creamy tan head, lacings. Aroma of sweet roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, some dried dark fruit, licorice. Flavor is rather sweet, malty, caramel, honey, dark chocolate, fruit, light alcohol. Medium body, average carboantion, light sweet finish with light warming alcohol. 060316

Great mouthfeel, nice oiliness. Nutty creamy, roastedness. Backlog from 2014/08/23.

330ml bottle. Opaque, quasi black colour with huge, thick, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty dark malty aroma, intense notes of liquorice, a sweet-ish touch of treacle, an unspecific conglomerate chocolately-herbal-spicy-grainy. Taste is moderately sweet, slightly roasty dark malty, hints of liquorice, treacle, tarmac. Intense but somewhat awkward as well.

Bottle at Huppel. Pours near black with a big beige head. Aroma of roast, toffee, lactose, light coffee, milk chocolate. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Over medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein schwarzes Bier mit ordentlicher bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmalzig, Kaffee, etwas schokoladig. Geschmack röstmalzig, würzig, Kaffee, etwas Vanille, würzig.

Black with creamy beige head. Hazelnuts, biscuits, some ash, burnt bread, light spicy, walnuts. Slightly oily and creamy. Light sweet with long roasted bitter finish. Medium bodied with creamy feel. Quite nice stout. The mouthfeel is really good here.

Opaque black colour, two finger creamy brown head, recedes slowly but doesn’t disappear, good lacing. Aroma roasted malts, oats, smoky, dark chocolate, liquorice. Taste mild sweetbitter, chocolate, medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, roasted malt bitter finish, very nice.

Aroma has cocoa and hay. Also syrupy tones and butter. Flavour has sugar, syrupy tones, cocoa, coffee, some tobacco and ash. A tad too sweet but I like the tobacco notes here.
