Tipopils is an “archetypal” beer: it embodies and corresponds to the idea of light beer settled in our DNA over many centuries. Produced by infusion with Caramunich- and Pilsner-type barley malts, brewed with a popular German bottom-fermenting yeast. German bittering and aromatic hops used both in warm and cold hopping (dry hopping). It is coarsely filtered to remove some of the yeast.

Elegant, subtil and snyggt ihopsatt. Oerhört drickbart.

Draft at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours classic gold, fairly transparent, plenty of bubbles in suspension and a good head of fluffy white foam. Aroma is delicate of grass and cereal. Body is average, like carbonation. Taste is well balanced, with moderate sweetness and good bitterness for a pils. Finish is average, but carries some residual, elegant bitterness.

12 oz. draft at Zwanze Day, Portland. Ot stayes “ gewurztraminer” on the draft list. Pale orange color. Aroma shows mild white grape, mild acid, mild citrus. The flavor is nice tart grape, pils base, the sour / tart character is just right. Mild pucker. Very nice!

12 ounce can into lager glass, no can dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Nice thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of lemon, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread, light biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with good strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread, light biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread, light biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finish. Perfectly lean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Moderate increasing dryness from bitterness and carbonation. High carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is an excellent dry hopped German Pilsner! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the moderately bitter/drying finish, not aggressive. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great balance of vibrant/earthy citrusy/noble hop complexity; with a nice clean pils malt backbone, and no residual sweetness. A very enjoyable, well made, and pretty unique offering for the style.

Draft - Almost spicy grain. Clear gold with a decent white head. Light spice and nice grains with a touch of bitterness. Spice is almost a cinnamon.
