Cask@Duke Of Wellington, London. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is wood, earth, some spices, mild plum and some raisins. Flavour is similar with some fruity juice and quite strong plummy notes to it. Pleasant!

Hazy brownish colour. Vaguely earthy-caramellyaroma. Sweetish, earthy, caramelly character. Slightly nutty finish. Balanced and drinkable - this doesn’t seem like much at first but it really is one of those beers that starts to grow on you by the end of the pint. Give it a couple pints and it really gets good.

[Cask at the Nag’s Head, Reading] Deep amber. Quite thick mouthfeel with a tiny and pleasant hint of carbonation. Toffee and malt are the main things here - it’s sweet with almost no bitterness. There are balancing woody notes though. Easy drinking and slips down a treat, but overall the flavours are rather weak & wishy-washy considering the strength & rich mouthfeel.
