Bottle from Hogs Back Brewery shop. Sour (and sweet) fruit and berries aroma. Dark amber. Weak off-white head. Tart. Matches the aroma. Light bodied. Shorter finish than perhaps couod be expected. I like.

Cask at The Blue Anchor. It pours deep brown with a thick beige head. The nose is fresh brown bread, earthy, wood, leather, dried fruits, fruit cake and leaves. The taste is smooth, wood, earth, Jamaican gingerbread cake, dried fruits, damp leaves and cherry with a dry, woody finish. Medium + body and fine, foamy carbonation. Nice depth of flavour and good balance. A tasty old ale.

Cask at the Rake - Borough Market, London. Pours clear amber with a fine, foamy head. Dried semi-dark fruits on the nose, some dry bread, light leaves, faint dry caramel. Light to medium sweet flavor with lightly toasted bread and mild, dry leafy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately dry to finish with more toasty and bready malts and dried fruits. Fair. Simple but tasty.
