On tap at the Growler Guys PDX, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of tart cherries and a little detergent. Flavour is quite acidic, followed by tons of detergent and cherries. A nasty soapy quality totally destroys this to the point of near-undrinkability.

Poured from a bottle with cherry listed as the fruit; I’m not sure if its the same beer as this entry, but I am treating it as such. Aroma is somewhat acidic with some light citrus notes and a bit of wheat. Light oak and tannins with a moderate cherry note. Well balanced aroma. A hint vinous. Pours a hazy, bright gold color with some light pinkish hues and a medium sized, tick, white head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where a small film lingers. No lacing or legs. Flavor has a medium high acidity with some light wheat notes and a hint of sweetness that lingers mid palate. Light oak notes with a bit of tannins and a light vinous character. Acidity is slightly sharp. Moderate cherry character with some flesh and skin notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice cherry berliner. Balanced cherry notes with some light wheat and barrel character. While acidity is a bit sharp, its not over the top and the base beer still shows through.
