Don't get a beer dah gard often! heheheh. Pour is big foaming brew, lots of co2 in the head, brew and mouth. Beer is 2 inch and foam is 10 inch. Yes, first impression is a very good well behaved beer with lots of carbonation, cutting. Its a hair darker than pale. Yes, very good palate, one of the best I've had in a while. Smells like neutral beer but taste carries this weird almost smell-able sweet perfume impact on the back of the olfactory. Yes, its like you can taste the sweet aroma yet, none is there. Impressive finish. Yea, that tasty perfumy sweet, almost unwelcome, thing hangs around for a while in the end. Not as good as Beaver Biere de Gard but better than Beaver French Teamaker De Garde, Jolly Pumpkin Bière de Mars, Beaver French Strisselspalt or even Off Color Le Woof. This comes in number 2 out of 15 de-grades I've tasted! Yes, not bad! Petty good overall beer tasting experience, thank you. And guess, what, no not king tut, its just that I want another one but don't have one! Should have bought a six pack of this stuff.

A dark reddish copper amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light fruity esters, light cloves, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with light bubble gum, fruity esters, light cloves, very nice. On tap at brewery.

Taster at Standard Market, Westmont.I’m noting a similarity between these beers and Goose island’s Belgian "sister." Understandable since Goose’s Barrel Room manager is now their brewmaster. So this may be considered close to Goose’s Matilda, but it has more obvious brett funk. Light color, a more tart smell, though it seems more like a sour fruit. But the taste is quite zesty. Malts stay light, and the hops keep the overall effect dry.
