Bottle. Pours clear reddish chestnut. Small tan head, dissipates fairly quickly leaving decent residual. Aroma is spiced, clove, cinnamon, allspice, toffee, butterscotch. Flavor is fairly sweet, light bitter, overspiced. Merlin body. Better than its rakes

Bottle at a Christmas bottle swap with friends. Poured a dark brown cola color with a small, tan head. Aroma was cloves, cinnamon, fruits. Sweet malts, dried fruits, cherry, raisin. Boozy notes, but pretty pleasant. Bourbon comes through in this one pretty well.

Bottle - pours dark brown white head - nose/taste of way too much clove, light touch of cinnamon spice, bourbon, caramel and oak - medium body
