Ridiculously rich deep brown body with an almost black glow and an oily top with a faint bit of a rich brown head that fades immediately. Aroma of super pungent roasted malt, oatmeal, caramel, earth, chocolate and a dose of canella and allspice - quite pungent throughout. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong and super rich sweet flavours show first with a ton of earth, smoked peat and a good deal of spice, but the most pungent is the chocolate, light coffee and finishing with lactose and vanilla. Aftertaste is where the spices linger with star anise, nutmeg, canella and allspice all super pungent with a deep sweetness following and a dose of alcohol warmth at the finish - very nice and incredibly robust, especially from the spice perspective. Overall, a very nice and rich beer with a ton of flavours showing the spices perfectly balanced with the sugars and showing a ton of body makes this nice. I'm guessing this would do quite well over time and be even more drinkable, but it's nice on draught right now! I sampled this ten ounce pour on draught at Blind Tiger in New York, New York on 09-June-2019 for US$8,00.

Tap (Craftova, Wrocław). Intensywne, czekolada, orzechy, także nuty podobne do trawy cytrynowej, gładkie, lekko alkoholowe ale bardzo przyjemne w odbiorze, nisko nasycone, przyjemnie się pije.

0.65l bottle. Pitch black body with a tiny light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, nutmeg, vanilla, rum, cherries, raisins and caramel. Taste of dark chocolate, caramel, nutmeg, cinnamon, pecan, vanilla, milk and some raisins. Not the roasty, bitter style of RIS, rather the sweet and creamy. The body is thick and creamy like hot chocolate. Simply great.

deep dark brown colour, moderate sized brown head; aroma of dark chocolate, vanilla, dried cherry, burnt plum jam, pecan, slight rum notes and hints of soy sauce; taste of dark chocolate (like a cold hot chocolate), pecan, vanilla and hints of cinnamon; amazing beer! Many thanks for sharing, kapusil!

Black with lasting thin head. Aroma and flavour have a nice mix of toasted nuts, caramel and a nice woody alcohol dryness.

13 April 2019. At First Timternational Beer Tasting, Ghent. Cheers to Ghent beer crew! Pours cloudy black with a slowly thinning, frothy, yellowish beige head. Intense aroma of pecan, cashew, biscuit, cinnamon, candi sugar, molasses, candied fig, custard, dates, pancake dough, zuppa inglese. Taste is medium to heavy malty sweet, very nutty (pecan, cashew again) on a biscuity & doughy base, chocolate, molasses & custard accents, faint dark fruits in the back; medium roasted bitter middle brings roasted nuts, mocha & spicy tones of gingerbread & cinnamon. Dryish, peppery & herbal hoppy finish, lingering nut & chocolate cake, custard, and a firm dash of warming alcohol (hinting at chocolate jenever & brown rum). Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Almost over the top but it brings exactly what you expect from it.
