Silent Disco brings the dank from kettle to glass. A little more aggressive than Citrus and a little more complex, “Disco” can make any party something to remember. Showcasing more pungent, earthy and herbal hop varieties balanced by a great tropical aroma and flavors of ripe berries.

Quite hazy golden and yellow coloured body with a rich, very soapy tan head, about five centimetres tall. Aroma of pure grass, hay and floral notes with a lot of bitterness, but also some earthy and biscuity malts noticeable as well. Medium-bodied; Strong rich alcohol bite up front with a solid sweetness from fruits and caster sugar with a nice biscuity bite, a touch of flowers and more grassy hops with a smooth, but noticeable alcohol flavour towards the end, with a good citrus and apricot nuance. Aftertaste shows the bitterness from the hops with a dry flavour and profile with malts still coming out as well, ending with some alcohol pungency and a dose of sugars. Overall, a fairly well-balanced beer with a decidedly pungent grassy flavour and some sugars as well, but solid and evident as an East Coast IPA through and through - this was a nice one to try and recommended for those with the option. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 23-June-2019 for US$3,29 sampled at home in Washington on 30-September-2019.

Very solid West Coast IPA. Lots of big pine and what tastes like Nelson though I could be wrong. Some citrus. Big forest aroma here. Bitter end. Can.

On tap into shaker pint glass at Aunt Chilada's, Hamden. Appearance is cloudy, yellow-tinged light brown with no discernible sparkle, finger-width white foamy head with poor retention and very nice leggy lacing. Aroma is sweet berry and melon dominant with light grapefruit. Taste is as aroma but the grapefruit is higher in the mix and so is more bitter than the aroma. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with lingering pleasant bitterness.

On draft at Plan B Simsbury. Very murky pour, pineapple juice-like. Nice stone fruit and grapefruit aroma. Flavour is stone fruit but doesn’t quite live up to the aroma. Nice pleasant finish

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a hazy dark golden color with a mediums sized creamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was tart and citric with tropical fruits and mango. The flavor was tart and citric with cactus, tropical fruit, mango and moderate bitterness. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied.

16 oz can from Tavour. Bright orange golden pour with one finger fluffy head. Fruity, tropical aroma, melons. Taste is also typical of the NEIPA style, although it features very little citrus notes. Nice feel, juicy.

Pint can pours with a murky nearly opaque dirty copper gold body that supports an off white head of foam. The aroma offers up a blend of citrus, mango, grassy herbal notes and then faint strawberry nuanced maltiness. The taste delivers smooth soft mango and cantaloupe woven into herbal and grassy like hoppiness. Toward the finish a thin layer of malt infused strawberry bubbles to the surface. This has many facets and it comes across balanced and pretty darn good. Might need more even at $4 per pint can.
