Golden color. Flower nose with an excellent buscuity malty nose. Well balanced, nice hoppy mouth. Very nice golden ale with a bit more punch and depth over your typical English summer blonde. Fairly aggressive bitter finish. Nice beer.

Bottle @ J&C, Friday session, 2011. Thanks. Pours hazy golden with a small floaties and a small creamy white head. Nose is exotic fruit - pineapple. Very fruity with a bit of sweet notes from vanilla and hops. Fresh and ends dry.

Small, dense yellowish head over metallic copper-golden beer. Bit perfumed nose - ricelike, but not sakelike. Oxydized citrus aroma, orangepeel. Ourspoken orangepeel flavour, even mouldy oranges; bitterish and fruity. Watery MF, feels more carbonated than it looks. The rare ingredients failed to make the flavours more interesting.

Bottle marked 10.07. Pours with a opaque yet vibrant golden body with a thin bone colored head. Aromas of pinesol, windex, cedar, lemon, dill, cobwebs, grass, bug replant, and nearly a light koji note. Smells like a citronella candle. Flavors of lemon, mosquito repellent, RAID, chemicals, mushrooms and more lemon peel. Really potent citrus lemon component. More citronella. Malt bill tastes like buttered (heavily buttered bread). Medium carbonation. Dry. Don’t know how much of this I can drink.

Bottle. Delicious, easy-drinking hoppy Belgian-style ale. Odd bottle - 550ml and appears to be made of some sort of funny extra thick glass, colored a very dark green. The beer pours a touch hazy and brightly gold with some tiny particles of yeast sediment and a big white head. Aroma is lemongrass from the Sorachi Ace with some light fruity notes from the Belgian yeast. Taste starts with some sweet, light malt, gets a bit earthier and finishes yeasty and a bit bitter. Carbonation is relatively low. No booze to speak of. Drinks bigger than its 6.5% abv would suggest. I bet it would pair very well with food. Good stuff.

550 mL bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA, opened 9/8/10. I missed this at the RBSG Grand Tasting so I’m glad they decided to distribute to the US. Pours a hazy orange-lemon color with a thin white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of earthy, citrus hops, citrus zest, pale caramel malty notes and a bit of a nutty note. The taste is huge citrus notes, orange, blood orange, grapefruit, dry orange soda. Some faint caramel malts. Medium bodied. Tasty beer.

Another great-looking bottle from this brewery. Contents pours hazy gold with a large white head that fades to a coat. Aroma has zest of old lemons, doughy/ earthy yeast, apples, shiso leaf. Delicate, slightly creamy texture. Taste is fruity and spicy with quite a woody end. The fruits include pear and apple; the spices white pepper, shiso leaf and coriander. But there are other fruity notes I can’t identify at all. And sherbet drops. The spices take over again after the wood. I don’t know how much of my enjoyment of this is related to its apparent originality. Intriguing and good - but pricey.
