Very light amount of whiskey, just a little cocoa, and a hint of vanilla. Purchased at the Tesco in Lerwick Shetland Islands UK.

Mørk brun med rødskjær og beige skum som daler sakte. Aroma røsted malt sjokolade vanilje wiskey. Smak sjokolade røsted malt whisky vanilje. Middels fylde, smaksrik, lett søtlig, fatpreg, en slitt men god stout. Flaske fra Systembolaget Strømstad

Old notes from 29-07-14. A 330ml bottle named as Irish Whiskey Finish, ABV is 7.4. Pours a near black with a beige head. Aromas & tastes of coffee, chocolate, whiskey, nuts, roasted malt. Medium body. Warm whiskey finish. Decent

Draught from Swift. Dark Pour, whihte head. Vanilla/sherry/whiskey aroma, similar taste with a malty sweetness and relatively thin mouthfeel.

Quite a bit of roast with touchest of sweet malt and oak. Body is a little light flavoris quite boozy. Finish is quite sweet, very light bitterness. Not much whiskeyto be found, just a bit of oak.

Very dark brown with a two-finger, tan head. Aroma is oak, whiskey and roasted grains. Taste was very complex with dried fruit, oak, whiskey, chocolate and vanilla.

May 2012: Sample at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Very dark brown colour. Moderate aroma of whisky cask and caramel. Rich and fairly sweet flavour, whisky cask and caramel again, but the hops are far too moderate for my taste..

On my way to Big Hand Bros, I stoped by Yamaya where I saw this in the 2 for 800¥ section. Innis & Gunn Irish Whiskey Cask Scottish Oatmeal Stout 6% I’m not a huge fan of the clear bottle but it poured an inky black with thick dense creamy beige foam. It’s fairly full bodied and smooth with a velvety mouthfeel. The aroma is savory chocolate syrup and oatmeal with mild roasted notes. The taste is the same but you get some bitter dark chocolate, hints of pear and that toasted oatmeal malt. I’m really digging this and find it very smooth. I’d buy it again.
