Lurcher Stout is rich smooth stout, a roasty dark ale with mature blackcurrant in the aroma and fruity, hoppy bitterness in the taste quickly giving way to a long, sweetish aftertaste.

Pours a clear dark brown colour with a decent sized foamy beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee and a little liquorice. An earthy roasted malt taste, coffee and liquorice flavours and a dry mild ashy bitterness in the finish.

Black, white head. Smell of fruit, malt, coffee. Taste is chocolate, malt, cream, some fruit. Not the most interesting stout going but it's rich, smooth, creamy and I could drink pints and pints of it.

cask half-pint in my local Wetherspoons on 9th Nov 2016. Deep ruby/brown body under a good depth of a lightly tanned foam. Usual stout aromas and taste: malty molasses, but not sweet, some hedgerow fruits and a hint of chocolate on a bed of smooth toffee: liked it.
