Cask at the Briar Rose, Birmingham. Dark brown with slight red hue and small creamy off white head with great lacing. Chocolate, dark malts, light molasses, liquorice, toffee. Creamy and semi dry mouthfeel. A tasty well balanced and brewed stout; great stuff.

Cask at Lord Burton, Burton-on-Trent Pours a very dark red-brown with a tight beige head. Has an aroma of mixed fruits with a touch of cocoa. In the mouth the taste swings from an initial fruityness (raspberries) to choclate and then back to fruits again. Plenty of roast malts in there as well. Finish is bitter and earthy. This is a very good beer.

Ultradyprød / svart. Lavt tett lysebrunt skum. Litt lacing. Sjokoladearoma. Smaken lakris, nøtter & plommer. Tørr, lett bitter avslutning. Behagelig øl.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A deep brown black coloured pour with an attractive raspberry red gleam and a tight tan head; aroma of red fruit and chocolate; smooth with a thick oaty body, Demerara sugar and earthy well-roasted grains; and a gentle grainy bitterness to finish. Very good.

Pours a clear dark brown colour with a decent sized foamy beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee and a little liquorice. An earthy roasted malt taste, coffee and liquorice flavours and a dry mild ashy bitterness in the finish.
