Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; black pour with velvety tan head, love a stout that makes a glugging noise when being poured, sweet coffee aroma, coffee taste quite sweet hint, dark chocolate, some earthy notes, bitter end. Engine oil thickness makes a wonderfully silky mouthfeel. Impressive work from the Beaver Boys.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - many thanks to Josh. Pours dark brown with a frothy brown head. Good dark malt nose, some dirt, roasted coffee, burnt cocoa. Medium sweet flavor, plenty of bittersweet chocolate, coffee grounds, bitter earth, toast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, plenty of bitter earth, coffee, baking cocoa, restrained booziness. Lingering baking cocoa. Great beer overall.

Bottle at the Martin T tasting, CBC, 06/06/13 - big thanks to Jack for this one. Mid black with a decent sized tan head that retains well. Nose is chocolate, light smoke, dark malts, roasty, mineral tones, dark toffee. Taste comprises dark and bitter chocolate, molasses, roast malt, mineral notes, light spice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, roast finish with light spice and little warming alcohol. Decent impy, good balance, alcohol well integrated - a definate go to.

330ml bottle. Pours jet black with a large head. Aroma has lots of dry roast and yeast, with a touch of beef. Taste has light roast to start with a roasty, liquorice finish. Very oily mouthfeel.
