33 cl. bottle sampled @ RBESG 2013. Thx! to chriso & Boudicca. Black with some mocha bubbles. Nose is huge creamy, sweet mocha, sugar, vanilla,… Taste is bitter mocha mixed with creamy vanilla, bitter roast, bitter coffee grounds, cold coffee, roasted malts. Very creamy body, great stuff. If the 2 beers I had by these guys are any indication, they are a really good brewery.

Bottle at the RBESG 2013 Grand Tasting. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin tan head with an silky oily consistency. The aroma is roasted malt and coffee. The flavour is medium bitter, rich with roasted malt and dark chocolate. An amazing beer and considering the ABV the alcohol was nicely controlled. One of the best impy stouts I’ve had.

Bottled @ RBESG 2013 Grand Tasting. Licorice, blackcurrant, coffee. Bit dry, bit harsh. Typical english Imperial stout with all the dark fruits, which is not my favorite. Slight unbalanced. Still, decent stuff.

33cl bottle from Sourced Market, St Pancras. Thick black beer with thick tan head. Blackcurrant and blackberry flavour. Good fruity impy stout with quite light and agile. Just a touch of newspaper. Yeah I liked it. Surprisingly fruity touch of chocolate. Yes, pretty good.
