Bottle with hella thanks to BenH! Pours rich opaque black with a medium dark brown head that is creamy and dissipates slowly with great residual lacing. Aroma is heavy roasty, almost burned, cigarettes, molasses. Flavor is similar, fairly strong anise, burned malts, ashtray. Light body with medium bitterness lingering through the far finish. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Pretty good, could do with less anise...

Opaque black - brown beer with a big fluffy tan head. Palate is viscous, airy and a little soft. The dark malt is soft and a little creamy. Dry coffee bitterness provides contrast. Trace of brandyish alcohol spice. Sweetish lactose and light plummy fruits. Semi dry finish. Overall quite a tangy beer and it could use a little less tang. Nice though. Need a BA version!
